2 fake doctors in the net for running illegal abortion clinic

Two women who had been running an illegal abortion clinic in Ekiti State, have been arrested: and they turned out to be quack doctors.

The state Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), busted the duo of Elizabeth Akintoye and Dupe Akinyele, in their fake abortion center located at the Tiwaloluwa Resort Area, FHA Estate, Afao Road, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

The suspects, according to the state commandant of the corps, Raji Adedoyin, were arrested at the clinic with their equipments, and had been carrying out abortions without being qualified to do so.

The commandant said the Intelligence Department of the corps had a hectic time in arresting the suspects after receiving several complainants about their activities which had led to death of many women, especially teenagers who wanted to do away with unwanted pregnancies.

He reiterated they would soon be charged to court after the conclusion of preliminary investigation into the crime.
