Transform Nigeria Movement (TNM) rejects Boko Haram prison transfer

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Transform Nigeria Movement (TNM) has rejected the transfer of
Boko Haram suspects to Ekwulobia Prison, saying it is anti peace and progress of the state.

Anambra State Coordinator of Transform Nigeria Movement, Comrade Obi Ochije who raised the objection said the civil society group is still hearing it as a rumour as it was unthinkable for President Muhammadu Buhari to order for transfer of Prisoners in North East who are suspected of annihilating masses to a peaceful Southern Nigeria.

Ochieje who is a Community youth leader for Ezinano in Awka comprising of 20 villages said Transform Nigerian Movement would stage a protest should it be confirmed the federal government ordered for the prison transfer to Anambra prison.

‘’As we congratulate President Buhari for his victory, we are saying he should know he is a President for all Nigeria and not a sectional president. We are asking why is that the 47 Boko Haram suspects are dumped in Anambra. This is a peaceful state and we do not want crisis here  and why would the suspects not be in prisons close to the jurisdiction of their offence as done in other climes including USA? Why bringing this terror group to a densely populated area where there is no security?
‘’The Federal Government should send them back to the North East and we as a civil society group is still taking it as a rumour and once we confirm it in our own way, we would take to the streets because the disadvantage is too much and their members would storm the state to destabilize the state. None of our markets or religious worship places are secure to repel the attack at this period, let the Federal Government not cause problem in Anambra state and should there be any break down of law and order, the Federal government should be held liable ……………..’’
