Tears in Anambra SSG’s office, and Hon Oseloka Obaze’s Resignation speech after he resigned in the State Executive Council meeting today

www.odogwublog.com reports that every staff in the office of the SSG , Oseloka Obaze was moody
this morning when the news filtered in that today will end his robust administration and loyalty and humility in service to Anambra state Government.
But amidst that stable appearance laid the regret that a good man is majestically stepping aside. Obaze was really everywhere and up and doing disarming tension and frustration with his diplomatic traits and charisma but insightful and firm.

He was consumed on how to move Anambra forward that his mien portrays a man who does not give a damn but on the contrary he is peaceful.

Obaze , a smooth operator and man of details often regarded as digital SSG in Nigeria was everything good rolled into one although not some of his associates, aides, journalists delight his style following his American philosophy and wahala of his aide Francis, who sticks to the ‘Oyibo’ styles of doing things. Had it been, he blended American way and Nigerian way, he would have made many differences but each individual has his or her way……………………………………..

Remarks Attributable Hon. Oseloka H. Obaze on his separation from the Anambra State Government ( 08/06/15) 


Today, Monday 8 June, 2015 marks my last day in office as the Secretary to the Anambra State Government. My separation from the services of the Anambra State Government is in accordance with the understanding reached earlier with HE Chief (Dr) Willie Obiano.

This morning I attended my last State Executive Council meeting where I had the opportunity to formally thank  Gov. Willie Obiano, HE Deputy Gov. Nkem Okeke and my Executive Council colleagues and formally bid them goodbye.  I thanked the Governor  for his confidence and for the opportunity to serve in his administration.  I have been witness to the selfless sacrifices by some who wish to see our State turned around. I salute them. I depart knowing that Anambra is set on the path to greatness.

For my humble part, I have served with honesty, diligence, unalloyed loyalty and indeed, to the best of my abilities.  I thank the people of Anambra for their graciousness and my immediate staff for their uncommon support during my three years as the Secretary to the Anambra State Government.

As I leave the government, I will be returning to private life.  I wish all my colleagues and well wishers well, and extend felicitations to my successor, Prof. Solo Osita Chukwulobelu.   It has been an honour to serve. May God bless you all.
