Nobis Elendu blames Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme for Ekwulobia Prsion saga with Federal authorities on Boko Haram transfer

www.odogwublog.com brings you an eye opener circulating online by a lawyer known as Chidi Nobis
Elendu .........................

"MUCH ADO ABOUT RELOCATION OF PRISONERS TO ANAMBRA STATE. In the last 24 hours or so, the net, particular, facebook, has been inundated with varying tales of relocation of prisoners, boko haram prisoners to be precise, to Anambra state and the eastern shores generally, with insinuations of adverse motives and or agenda by the Buhari government.

It is against this back that I deemed it pertinent to speak on record certains facts of history which which we may consider and digest before we venture afield in our usual sterile shouting complaints.

The Aguata prison was built during the NPN government when Ekweme was VeePee. Remember, our people, the Aguata people, demonstrated against the location of the prison in Aguata then. I was then a secondary school student at the famous Uga Boys Secondary School, Uga, Aguata.

I do vividly remember that it was one of the odd scores our people held against Ekwueme then which constrained them to vote for NPP, instead of Ekwueme's party, NPN. Today, the fruit of that 'developmental infrastructure'is paying off! There was a man called Barikin Zuwo who when asked why he kept government money in his house if not with intent to steal same.

He retorted: why the hullabaloo, government money is in government house, what the heck? If you ask my opinion, I will simply say, borrowing from Barkin Zuwo: government prisoners are in government prison. ka Chineke mezie okwu. It is obvious that our people are unaware that during Jonathan's government, the biggest prison, south of the Sahara, for terrorists, coup plotters armed robbers and commiters of heinous crimes was built at our backyard at Ezinifite, Aguata.

I had opportunity to raise this before the so-called Ohaneze in one and the only meeting I ever attended at Enugu, but it was shot down by the Iwuanyanwus. I also made a feeble attempt at petitioning the Public Complaints Committee of
The 7th House of Representatives but my personal challenges resulting from my pre-election case could not allow me to pursue the petition with much zeal and gusto as I would ordinarily have done under normal circumstances.

The point here is that, we should not point accusing fingers at Buhari for this ugly development as the originators and propagators are our own people, then in government.

All that Buhari's government may now be doing is implementation. Our angst and grouse should be directed against those who laid the foundation, nurtured and erected the structures that now subject our people to avoidable insecurity. Did we not have representatives at the National Assembly when the policy was hatched?

Did we not have a Deputy Senate President, a Secretary to Government of the Federation, Head of the economic team, Peter Obis, and members of the Federal Executive Council? What did they do? Each and everyone of them was scheming for his stomach and personal aggrandisement using our seal of representation as a camouflage. I tell you, at times, I weep for the Igboman because we hate ourselves. I hear that onitsha market was closed yesterday. Has the Eastern leadership reacted: No! They have not, and I dare say, will not. Why should they.

Do you want them to lose their offices and daily bread, which if they lose, the very same people for whose benefit and defence they lost out will be the ones to turn around to castigate them for their 'foolishness'. I wish our people well hopeful that the Onus, Ngiges, Okorochas, Izunasos, Muoghalus and all our big names in APC will not keep a golden silent. Enough of this chest beating."
