N300 Million fraud: President didn’t order brother-in-law’s arrest – Presidency

The Presidency has denied reports that President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the arrest of his wife’s
younger brother, Musa Yola, over allegations of defrauding a businessman N300 Million to help him see President Buhari for an oil bloc.
It was on the social media that Buhari had ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to arrest Yola after he allegedly defrauded someone of N300 million.
But Buhari’s aide Garba Shehu denied the report.
“It is definitely not true, there is no iota of truth on this report there is no basis for the president to do that,” Shehu said
Mrs Buhari’s brother also expressed his shock at the reports.
“As we speak, I am in the President’s office and I was with him last night,” Yola said. “I simply don’t know or understand who is behind these malicious rumours,” he added.
Yola was alleged to have committed the fraud by promising to acquire an oil bloc for the unnamed victim.
