JUSUN: Lawyer Commends Obiano For Intervening

www.odogwublog.com reports that an Idemili based legal practitioner, Anambra State, Pat Agbata,
yesterday commended Governor Willie Obiano for intervening in the strike action embarked upon by the state chapter of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN.
He said that the Governor’s prompt payment of part of the demands of JUSUN made it possible for the state to call-off the strike barely few hours after it was embarked upon.
Barrister Agbata who is the provost of Nigeria Bar Association, NBA Idemili branch, reiterated that the court as the last hope of the common man should not for any reason be shut.
“When the court is shut it means giving room for anarchy because there will be lawlessness”, he stated.
Commending the Governor further he said that he was able to chase away criminals out of the state which now gives room for investors to come and invest in the state.
It would be recalled that JUSUN embarked on the strike action the non implementation of the Memorandum of Undertaking, MOU, it reached at with the government’s negotiating team headed by the Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Nkem Okeke.
The demands include, release of money for the payment of the worker’s salary, over head cost and capital votes into the account of the judiciary.
