Industrialist, MD of APAMS Funeral undertakers, Sir Kelvin Chukwumaobi Begs Buhari To Revitalize Ailing Power Sector

An Onitsha based industrialist and Managing Director, APAMS Funeral Undertakers; Sir Kevin
Chukwumaobi has urged Ndigbo from the South East extraction of the country to support the plans of President Mohammadu Buhari to rebuild the country despite their various party affiliations.


Sir Chukwumaobi who spoke to the press yesterday in Onitsha re-counted that the bitterness and intrigues that characterised the past presidential electioneering was gone and stated that what the president needed now was total support from Nigerians to make good governance possible for the new president.


The industrialist who expressed anger over the lingering power crisis in the country, however, called on Buhari to make the supply of constant electricity and petroleum products available to Nigerian consumers so as to live up to his election promises.


He observed that as an industrialist with over 260 people working under his employ it would be a disservice for the country not to appreciate his effort by providing entrepreneurs and other Nigerians with the enabling environment as a source of encouragement.


Sir Chukwumaobi whose company, APAMS Ltd has arguably shaped the business of organising and managing society burials in Nigeria and beyond regretted that he was forced so purchase an 80KVA Transformer to boost the power supply in his company and another 100KVA Transformer recently because of the growing nature of his business.


He, however, called on the new government as a matter of necessity to re-organise the power sector of the economy with the aim of boosting power supply so that entrepreneurs like him with genuine desire to absolve the unemployed Nigerian youths could expand the scope of his business and further employ about 100 more people into the skilled and unskilled departments of his business.


He appreciated the states manly attitude of the immediate past president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan for immediately conceding defeat to Buhari, adding that Jonathan has done his work to the best of his ability and hoped that the new President, Mohammadu Buhari as a rare bred military officer and former Head of State would apply his wealth of experience now as a civilian president to lift the country out of corruption and its economic woes.
