Breaking News: Military Command obeys Buhari, moves operations of control center to Maiduguri

The Nigerian Military High Command has moved the Military Command Centre from the country’s
capital, Abuja, to Maiduguri, capital of Borno State in the troubled North-East as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari, a retired Army General, gave the directive in his inaugural address on May 29.  The center would remain there until Boko Haram is completely crushed.
Last Tuesday, June 2, he met with the Service Chiefs for a full briefing and to map out strategies for the implementation of his directive.
The center starts operations today even though the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani K. Usman, said that the military would communicate the nation appropriately when the Military Command Centre begins work in Maiduguri.
