Breaking News and Exclusive from Unizik: 65 Cultists renounce their membership in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and Photos

  www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that no fewer than 65 cultists this afternoon renounced their
membership of the various cults they belong to as a mark of honour for the Vice Chancellor Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka , Prof Joseph Ahaneku who pleaded with them to renounce or face the full wrath of the law.

Prof Ahaneku had set up a Cult Renunciation ceremony committee headed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Prof Charles Esimone whose committee rather than took a drastic approach of sacking the students decided to give them an opportunity to be pardoned by the Vice Chancellor Prof Ahaneku.
They invited Rev.Fr Dr Paul Martin Obinna Obayi of Oku’nerere Adoration Ministry,  Uguru Nsukka  who led other priests of God in an interdenominational service to hand over the University to God and allow the cultists a grace to say no to evil ways and embrace God for a change to enable the University maintain its success story from the euphoria of one year already recorded.
Another powerful man of God from Lumen Christ Family, Adoration Ministry Issele-Ukwu , Delta state , Fr Mario David Dibie administered the Holy spirit.

 Prof Ahaneku granted them pardon and handed them over for proper spiritual rejuvenation to the committee to lease with their  priests or the special team by the committee for that and gave those who refused to come out one week to do that through their religious groups or risk the wrath of the University as nobody would be spared.
Initially when it was announced for members to come out and hand themselves over to God , only 44 came out with exception of two male cultists who appeared to be tired of the fraternity before when Fr Obayi started his prayers , the wonders started happening and another 21 surrendered to the Supreme power of the Almighty.

 Management and staff as well as students of the University attended in numbers including Dr Godson Okafor , Director Infrastructure and Development
In an interview, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Prof Esimone Charles commended the Vice Chancellor , Prof Ahaneku for the granting the cultists an opportunity to renounce and appealed to others who have not done to quickly embrace the gesture from the University to avoid blaming themselves, and pointed out that the VC and management handed over the University to God as the second year journey of the VC starts. ....................................
