Ikeako urged Christians to shun domination practice but preach the word of God unadulterated in order to propagate the gospel and win souls  for the kingdom of God.

Preaching at a yearly prayer session termed, ‘Umuchu Prayer 2015’theme it is still possible , the Bishop urged the congregation and the people of the area to reject the devilish activities of the idol worshipping.

He said that some  churches  who operate with aim and objective  to exploit and extort the people out of ignorance because their preaching was cosmetic and based on materialism  were mostly run as family business .

The bishop urged the people to join and worship in churches that preach the word of God rather than joining family churches whose aim is to make money.

He said that in the Orthodox church like Anglican and Catholic Churches nobody owns the church as such the reality of the gospel is given as it is .

He said that Christians should shun  idol worshipping as the worshippers  lay claim to lifeless things and take them to be their gods which has no power
.
Ikeako said  Uchu River  in their  community, Umuchu, that their  ancestors deceived the people  that the Umuchu people are the children of the Uchu river.

According to him, the Uchu River has no children, it is just a river like every other one, why must people worship it leaving God that  created them, whoever that worship the river will not see good things in his life, whoever that deceived the people using the river, religion and other means will be made to suffer by God”,

“They use these false means to enrich themselves and family and not to the glory of God. We have rejected them” .he said

The one-day prayer session themed, “It Is Still Possible” was held at Nkwo market square where the Bishop added that, “Life is all about battle, the battle will be on from birth to death but with God you must win”.

Reiterating that it is only Jesus that can save the people he stated that being diabolical does not mean anything to man of God.

Reacting, Mr. Godwin Ezeemo, the Chief host, thanked the Bishop for coming to cleanse their community adding that the Uchu river has no power over the people.

Ezeemo who built a church in the area, added that Uchu means being hardworking, enterprising and not the people being off springs of Uchu river.

He recalled that the prayer session was the five edition hinting that it has helped to cleanse the community and brought development to the community.
“During this prayer session those in Diaspora and at home come together and worship God”, he stated.

A participant ,Mr Dominic Otti a native of the community from Umumilo village said that he was happy about the inter-denominational community prayers by the town .

Otti said that the prayers session was introduced five years ago and since then they have been participating with hope that God will cleanse their community from ancestral bondage.

“ we do not have resounding development in spite of wealthy people that the community has raised , their growth is limited so we need to break the hold so we go further in politics, academia, business among others
