Autozik car: The pride of Unizik and Prof Ahaneku’s joy

www.odogwublog.com reports that a breakthrough was recorded in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka
under the supervision of Dr. Solomon Nwaigbo.
Students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka made a great breakthrough in construction and research by constructing a mobile vehicle termed Autozik car.
According to the students all the raw materials they used were sourced for and fabricated locally. Prof. Ahaneku said it was a novel and heartwarming development.
The vehicle was presented to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph. E. Ahaneku and the Management team on Wednesday, 29th of October, 2014. The vehicle was showcased for an exhibition in Abuja on 2nd and 3rd of December, 2014.

But the excitement still lingers on as the one year celebration of the VC was centered on the feat and many others. He congratulated the Faculty of Engineering, the Department, the Supervisor Dr. S. Nwaigbo for producing modern day engineers who will help in transforming the nation. He commended Prof. Sam Omenyi, a former DVC (Academic) for his mentorship and leadership abilities that translated to the younger generation in many ways.
Ahaneku congratulated the students, Austuous Okoyenta, Chukwuebuka Okeke, Chikeluba Ezeani, Kenechukwu Ofoegbu and Igbokwe Ebenezer, for making the University proud. The Vice-Chancellor challenged students of other Departments to demonstrate what they have been taught in the University to impact on the society.
