Armed Robbers Terrorize Ikorodu, Lagos banks, reportedly killed 10

No fewer than 10 innocent Nigerians have been reportedly killed when a dare-devil armed robbery group this morning raided banks in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Taiwo Odusola saidin his facbook wall though that was after the police had twitted it.
He said: “We are serious at war in Ikorodu right now. Armed robbery is taking place at Ebute by Dangote; they are robbing banks. I am at the scene as I’m posting this message. Over 10 innocent souls lost already and still counting.”
Police went in pursuit of the robbers, announcing on its Twitter handle: @PoliceNG said: “Our officers are responding to armed robbery at #Ogolonto Ikorodu Lagos. Citizens are advised to stay off vicinity; Lagos now secured after our officers responded to Bank robbery this morning. Police units remain on ground.”
It had earlier said Armed robbery operation ccurred this morning at around 8:30 am at Ebute, Ogolonto in Ikorodu. Residents of the area reported that the robbers shot into the air to escape from the police.
The Nigerian police shared on Twitter that they have the situation under control.
