Anambra Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism: From frying pan to fire?

www.odogwublog.com knows Chief Tony Onyima was removed as Commissioner for Information,
Culture and Tourism. We @ odogwublog.com have our views for the 14 months he was in office but we are not making it public for now.
What is your own view on his removal? But is it a question of from frying pan to fire? A core professional and former Managing Director of Sun Newspapers was removed and a novice so to speak in Mass Communication and Journalism brought in?
Dr Mrs Uju Nwogu is a professional in her field of practice and teaches law at Unizik? She is the wife of Prof Nwogu Dean of students Affairs Unizik. She would have done better in other Ministries than Information sector?
She has Governor Willie Obiano as one of her mentors as well as Fumilayo Ransome Kuti, Prof Dora Akunyili of blessed memory, Margaret Ekpo and she is set to promote reading culture in Anambra state as one of her feats…….and make Anambra state Library popular …….as it is now under utilized.
She hopes to champion the speaking of Igbo language and love for our culture as commissioner ………..
‘’…….you know I just came in and I am not well acquainted with the background. When I settle down and look at several issues and proposals I will harness all the hidden potentials to move Anambra state forward. I want to assist the Governor because Willie is really working and I want to assist in the working to move the state forward………………’’
But that struck me less than the outburst of Chief Tony Onyima , former Commissioner for Information on his achievements in his 14 months in office …………………’’generation of 3000 news and features stories within 14 months , issued 200 public service announcements and 8000 images  of Governor Obiano’’ , whatever that means maybe frames given out to offices and individuals to hang in their offices.
Onyima said these his feats were geared towards ‘’bringing the numerous strides of the governor in every sector of the state’s economy to the world within and outside Anambra state …………………..’’
This is unbelievable because Onyima is a guru so to speak in the field. So if this is the achievements of Onyima , what is going to be the achievements of a non initiate in the person of Dr Nwogu who has take over.
But Dr Nwogu is lucky NUJ and related organizations did not protest as you cannot put a Journalist as Commissioner for Health , so she is to do all within her reach to make the difference following the attack in some quarters on your office. The expectations are high but is she going to actualize that without a Chief Press Secretary ……………….Only time will tell as another history beckons …….
