One week one trouble for Anambra communities as robbers invade school, Health center

Under development, poverty, deprivation and lack of basic amenities characterize some rural areas
especially those ones referred as poorest of the poor. But it is double tragedy when robbers now stall development in any manner.
That is the situation in two communities in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, where a group of gunmen recently raided the community health centres and schools carting away valuables.
The hoodlums, numbering about 10, on different dates attacked the Community Health Centres in Amanuke, Urum, Awba-Ofemmili and Mgbakwu as well as Isu-Aniocha, prime communities in Awka North leaving behind them a trail of agony, frustrations and sorrow.
At Awba-Ofemmili, the robbers allegedly raided the health centres, leaving with cash and other valuables stolen from the patients and nurses.
The robbers stole all the solar-powered water pumping machines (sumo) installed as Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) projects even though the local watchmen attached to these health centres saw they criminals , they could not do anything, as they were not given weapons or security gadgets by the government, which employed them.
