Breaking News:Tension in Anambra as gunmen from Kogi state invade Anambra community, abduct three children

www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that confusion best described the mood in Anambra state now as gun men from Kogi state invaded Eziagulu-Out abducting three children.

The three children were swimming inside Ibu river when their abductors struck. They aged between 10 and 12 and are still declared missing.
Commenting on the crisis, Mr. Alex Nnoruka, a youth leader from Eziagulu-Otu community in Anambra said that the gunmen are from Asonwa community in Kogi State which shares boundary with Eziagulu-Otu.
He said that the armed men had on many occasions, been invading their Eziagulu-Otu and Ibu camp in same community for five days now.
On whether the police is in the know, he said: “Our councilor, Hon. Cyril Chukwuemeka  Nnaekwe, as I heard had since reported the matter together with the President General of Eziagulu Otu  Mr. Alex Onukwo, but to the best of my knowledge we are still expecting police to wade in”.
But, the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Peter Anielutu not only confirmed the story but accused the Kogi State town Asonwa of regularly attacking his community for no reason and called on the federal government and state government to come to their aid.
“In fact we and Asonwa community for long have been living side by side peacefully for years, but all of a sudden, since the discovery of this oil in our land, I suspect some Abuja based politicians from  Kogi state have made it a point of duty to fueling crisis between us and I believe God will judge them for any innocent blood that are being lost over this matter for mp reason.” the Igwe lamented.
The State Public Relation Officer, Mr. Uche Eze said that he had no knowledge of the development in the area adding that they have their men there and that he would find out.
Meanwhile there is tension now in Anambra as hundreds of armed youths suspected to be from an Igala community in Kogi State have invaded the Eziagulu-Otu community, a border town in Anambra East Local Government Area, Anambra State.
The invaders came in without any provocation, shooting sporadically at anything they sighted.
Many fishers who were at the Ibu River fishing were allegedly gunned down and many fish ponds belonging to the community were polluted with dangerous aquatic life killer chemicals.
Some eye witnesses said that chemicals were poured into the fish ponds in the area by the invading gun men who were able to overrun the community.
The incident was confirmed by a community source who claimed that the invaders attacked the area with sophisticated guns like Ak-47 riffles before retreating hours after.
Trouble it was leant started as a result of the two communities’ long age battle over the ownership of Okpeze land.
