Breaking News: Owelle Godson Obi from Ogbunka, Chief Titus Anigbogu, Emeka Aforka, Norbert Obi , others declare interest for APGA State chairman as APGA fixes June 6th for National Convention

www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that there is scramble to pick form by aspirants who want to be chairman of APGA in Anambra state.


Following the directive from All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting that state congresses be held 23rd May, 2015, Chairmanship Aspirants have begun to purchase forms in Anambra state.

Meanwhile a text message from APGA National Secretary, has announced National Convention of APGA on 6th June , 2015 and all Aspirants for national office should purchase the form with N100,000.

The release said aspirants for the state including Chairmanship are to pay N20,000 while those of ward Aspirants and local government are to pay N10,000 and N15,000 respectively.

The ward congress holds on 15th May, while local government congress holds 20th May, 2015, then state congress on 23rd May, 2015.

The Aspirants were directed to purchase their forms from their chairmen for all positions across the wards, local government areas and state as well as national.

Meanwhile a former Local government chairman for Orumba South Local government area, Owelle Godson Obi yesterday declared his interest to lead the party in Anambra state. Owelle Obi addressed party stakeholders at different for a yesterday on his ambition.

When contacted, OwellE Obi confirmed that he is aspiring to be the Anambra state Chairman of APGA since the party has zoned it to Anmabra South.

His words: ‘’Yes I am aspiring to be the state Chairman of APGA or is aspiration a crime? I will be a big unifying factor in the party. Leadership is about Character and I have the capacity to make our party greater than what it is today.
‘’The outcome of the congress will determine where our party APGA will be, whether it will survive or not in the state , South East and Nigeria at large. Party leadership is leading a mass movement with people with divergent views to life and ability to tolerate all of them and still achieve results , which I have the credentials…………….’’.

www.odogwublog.com investigations revealed that apart from Chief Godson Obi, Owelle of Ogbunka contesting the State chairmanship , other contenders are former Chairman of Aguata local government area, Chief Titus Anigbogu and  former chairman of Orumba North/ current Publicity secretary of APGA , Emeka Aforka although in court with some former councilors he worked for over misapplication of funds and Chief Norbert Obi current Commissioner for Special Duties.

Old Aguata stakeholders are rooting for Owelle Godson Obi as he is the best for the duty although Governor Willie Obiano appears rooting for Chief Norbert Obi having being in the state Executive Committee representing Ekwusigo and having served as Chairman of PPSSC and Special Adviser .

But stakeholders said he is not active politician and could not handle the position though have been in appointment since over 8 years, that Owelle Obi would be more suitable as the chairmanship position now should  be for somebody that is still young.
