in line with its mandate under Prof Joseph Ahaneku, the Vice Chancellor now one year in office.
Prof Ahaneku told www.odogwublog.com that he would not leave any stone unturned making Unizik the greatest Varsity in Nigeria with five years building on legacies of past Vice Chancellors and support of management and Governing council as well as staff and students of the great Institution named after Zik of Africa, Owelle of Onitsha .
EVENTS AND THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS ALLOCATED TO EACH FOR THE 5TH EDITION OF UNIZIK STAFF GAMES TO START SOON
1.    Athletics:-Field and Track events is open for male and female, Faculties/Units can field in as many athletes as possible. No restriction.  However, before the competition proper, there will be an on spot analysis on the best practices to adopt.
2.    Badminton (Male/Female): 4 players each at most.
3.    Table Tennis:-  The areas to be competed under table tennis are = Single, Double, Mixed Double Team Events.  All these events are in male and female category.  Please note, under table tennis events you must indicate in your team list the events you will participate on is very important. 4male, 4 female
4.    Basketball:-  (Male/Female) : 12 players makes up a standard team 5 aside but 4 players can start a match.
5.    Chess (Male/Female):- Under this event, departments are to field in a maximum of 4 players in each category and a minimum of 1 player.
6.    Football (Male/Female):-  In football, 7 players including the goal keeper can start a match, but a maximum of 11 players aside and maximum of 18 players in a team.
7.    Handball (Male/Female):- 18 players in a team, minimum of 5 players and maximum of 7 players in the court.
8.    Swimming (Male/Female):- This event is open and the number of players and styles to be competed on will be decided by the umpire
9.    Scrabble (Male/Female):- You can have 4 players in your team list but minimum 1 and maximum of 2 players in each category will compete.
10.    Volleyball (Male/Female):  Minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 players in the court for each side.  A maximum of 12 players in the team list.
11.    Ludo (Male/Female):- Each Faculty/Unit will feature only 1 male and 1 female in each category.
12.    Dart (Male/Female):-  2 male, 2 female in each category and each player must provide his or her own Dart Arrow
13.    Draught (Male/Female):  Only 1 male and 1 female in each category will play.
14.    Ncho (Male/Female):- Only 1 male and 1 female in each category.
15.    Tennis (Male/Female):- Mixed doubles as in other racquet games.
16.    Skipping (Male/Female)

Guidelines for submission of Abstracts and Papers
Deadline for submission of Abstracts is 31st of May, 2015.
·    Ten copies of full paper should be submitted at the Conference Registration Point.
·    No form of proxy presentation will be allowed.
·    Abstract and full paper should bear the name, affiliation, email address and phone number of the author(s).
·    The approved Documentation Style is MLA 6th Edition. Papers that do not conform to this style will not be considered for publication.
·    The approved font type is Times New Roman, 12 points size.
·    The Conference fee is N8, 000 or $100 only. You can pay into Conference Account Number at Fidelity Bank Plc.

The Department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Management Sciences, NnamdiAzikiwe University, Awka, Anambra Nigeria, calls for well researched academic articles for publication in various volumes of its journal titled “African Journal of Banking and Finance”. The Journal endeavours to provide a forum for researchers, practitioners, students, resource persons and other people in the academia who are interested in the discussion of current and future issues impacting on areas of Banking and Finance.

The African Journal of Banking and Finance is an International peer-reviewed, open access periodical that publishes articles relevant to Banking and Finance. The Journal embraces Interdisciplinary scholarship and accepts manuscripts from all applicable fields in Management Sciences. All submissions will undergo a blind review by three peers.

Manuscript Preparation
1.    The format should include abstract which should not be more than 250 words. Not more than five keywords should be provided immediately after the abstract. The manuscript must contain-the introduction with clearly stated problems, research objectives, review of related literature, methodology, findings, policy implications, conclusion, recommendations, references and appendices (where applicable).
2.    Articles with APA citation style (6th edition), not more than 6,000 words, written in MS word with 1.5 spacing, 12 font size with Times New Roman and typed on A4 paper size are preferred.
3.    Tables and figures should be numbered sequentially with Arabic numerals; each should have a brief descriptive title and as much as possible be self-explanatory.
4.    Authors should include their brief profile including institutional affiliation and status, phone numbers with addresses and e-mail.
5.    Articles sent are peer reviewed in line with international standard best practice. Submissions must be e-mailed as word attachment to [email protected]. Also two hard copies should be sent to the office of the Head of Banking and Finance, NnamdiAzikiwe University, Awka. All submissions must not be later than 31st July, 2015.
