Tonto Dikeh’s days in the limelight started in 2006 when she became the first runner up in a Tv reality show called “The Next Movie Star”. Soon after, she started off in the second biggest movie industry in terms of number of movies produced per year, Nollywood.

She casted in a controversial movie “Dirty Secret” which contained scenes on nudity. Tonto was criticized of being Untraditional and Un-African but other’s aknowledge the talent and professionalism of the actress. Tonto has worked her way up in the Nigerian film industry [Nollywood] to become one of the top female actresses in Nollywood.

She was a party to the charity fashion show in Lagos in January 2012 with the likes of Banky W, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and others.

In Dec 2011 she awarded scholarships to Exceptional children in Port Harcourt.
