Rural and Community Development,

Command headquarters in Bompai, while parading suspects arrested in connection
with electoral violence on Tuesday, Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris,

him.
The top politician, according to the
CP, who is a close associate of the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau,
was implicated by 14 political thugs arrested by the police, who, during
interrogation, confessed that Kwankwaso, a leader of a group known as PDP
Vanguard in the area, sent them to destroy the election materials.
“Also, the suspects indicted one
Musa Illyasu Kwankwaso as their sponsor. Detectives from SCID stormed his house
but unfortunately, he jumped over the fence, abandoned his regalia (Jumper) and
escaped into the bush. The man-hunt for him and four other suspects still at
large is in progress,” Idris added.
