Okorocha , Ngige , South-East APC vow to reclaim mandate

South-East leaders of All Progressives Congress, APC, have vowed to reclaim the mandates of APC

members rigged out during the last National Assembly elections by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, through lawful means.

The governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, stated this, yesterday, in Owerri, during the South East APC jubilation rally for the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.

Okorocha also played for the audience, a video recording, which “indicted top officials of the PDP and the security men in the alleged rigging of the March 28 elections in Imo State..

He noted that the PDP never won the South-East geo-political zone, as it was largely reported, adding that if not for the rigging pattern of the PDP, Muhammadu Buhari would have won the election in the zone.

Speaking also, a leader of APC in South East,  Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, urged the Igbo to embrace the APC, so as to be connected to the national grid, pointing out that the history which has been made in Nigeria, would bring the desired change that would also empower Nigerians for better living.

Dr. Onu expressed confidence in the APC leadership, stressing that the time had come for the Igbo to participate actively in the governance of Nigeria.

In his remark, the former governor of Anambra State, Chris Ngige, said the PDP de-registered him as a member when he was Anambra State governor, because he was able to prove to them that Anambra had resources that could develop the state.

Ngige, currently a senator from Anambra State, said that during the March 28 election, the PDP wrote the results of the election and intimidated the electorate who scampered for safety, adding that under the PDP leadership, the country did not function optimally.

In his speech, the APC senatorial candidate of Orlu Zone, Imo State, Osita Izunaso, said the PDP rigged the election in Imo State, adding that in Orlu Zone he won nine local government areas out of 12.
