Governorship candidate of the
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos state, Mr Jimi Agbaje has expressed
concern over low turnout of voters for the governorship and state House of
Assembly elections.
Agbaje said this at Ward 2 polling
unit 009, Duala/Abraham Adesanya street in Apapa, after six failed attempts of
being accredited.
The governorship candidate, said he
was surprised at the low turnout of voters for accreditation, appealed to the
electorates to come en masse for the exercise saying “democracy is a game of
numbers.”
He, however, urged Lagosians to
eschew violence during the conduct of the exercise.
Speaking shortly after being
accredited, he said “I have been informed that there are violence in some areas
around Lagos,I want our people to maintain peace and avoid violence”.
