INEC Presents certificate of return to Buhari

Former Head of State and President-elect of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.),

has been presented with a Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, after he was declared winner of last Saturday’s election.

INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, this afternoon issued the return certificates to Buhari, and the Vice-President-elect, Yemi Osinbajo.

Speaking after receiving the certificate, Buhari said “Change has finally come” to Nigeria asserting that Nigeria’s “long night has passed”.

Buhari, who was the APC flag bearer in the election, defeated incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in the presidential election held on Saturday.
