INEC issues certificate of return to governor-elect, others

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Minna on Wednesday
presented certificates of return to newly elected politicians Niger state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the ceremony was attended by the governors-elect, senators-elect, as well as House of Representatives-elect.
The Niger Governor-elect, Abubakar Bello, said that the incoming administration would give priority to people-oriented projects and programmes.
He said that the expectations of the people from the new federal and state governments would be fulfilled.
Two senators-elect and 10 House of Representatives-elect received the certificate alongside Bello.
The ceremony was attended by the INEC National Commissioner in charge of Niger, Kwara and the FCT, Mr Chris Ehimoga, party stalwarts and other supporters.
