Governor Ayo Fayose of the PDP before the election

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti
State has said the election was not credible, adding that the exercise lacked
indices of a free and fair poll.
The state Publicity Secretary of the party Mr.
Taiwo Olatunbosun, said in a statement on Saturday that the elections recorded
cases of alleged intimidation by policemen and thugs which it stated that the
state Governor Ayodele Fayose deployed across the polling units.
It added that intimidation of opponents began on
Friday with many reports of state-sponsored intimidation, which it identified
as responsible for the low turn-out of voters across the state.
Efforts made to get across to the Special Assistant
to the governor on Public Communications and New Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka, were
abortive.
