How Azudialu, NESTOIL Boss escaped assassination

The President of Nestoil Group, Dr Ernest Azudialu in Ihiala escaped death by the whiskers in the

hands of some thugs led by the owner of Capital Oil who is also the Coordinator of TAN,  Mr Ifeanyi Ubah, the National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Olisa Metuh and the Director General of Pencom, Ms Chinelo Anohu Amaze. Azudialu’s bullet proof Mercedes Benz G Wagon was reportedly sprayed bullets. When the bullets failed to penetrate the heavily armoured  vehicle, the thugs sprayed the tyres with bullets. Trouble began when the trio came to the town and attempted to rig the house of representatives in favour Emeka Anohu, brother of Chinelo Amaze but were resisted by Azudialu who insisted that the will of the people on who represents them must be allowed to prevail.

According to eyewitness account, after a peaceful voting processing in Ihiala local government. area of Anambra state, INEC officials started collation of results. Not being able to conclude the process Saturday night, they resumed Sunday morning at the local government headquarters. “ But surprisingly,  Mr Olisa Metuh, Mr Ifeanyi Ubah, Chinelo Amaze and her brother Mr. Emeka Anohu,  the PDP House of representatives candidate stormed the venue where Dr Azudialu, an Okija indigene was already present to witness the counting process. When it became obvious the PDP candidate was loosing, Metul and Ubah moved in and started altering the results in favour of Mr. Anohu, Dr. Azudialu objected and in the process Ifeanyi Ubah and Olisa Metuh then physically assaulted for daring to object to their alterations of the result, slapping him in quick succession.  Azudialu’s aides quickly ran to his rescue and rushed him to his car. In the commotion that ensued policemen attached to Mr. Anohu started shooting at  Azudialu’s vehicle, destroying the tyres and some parts of the vehicle.  Azudialu was only able to survive the assassination attempt because his car was bullet proof. Some members of his entourage were not so lucky as they escaped with bullet wounds and are now receiving treatment in hospital.” In the ensuring confusion, Ms Chinelo Amaze quickly left the scene with her police and naval security escort.

When contacted the Nestoil boss, he confirmed the incident and expressed shock at the attempt on his life. “I am still shaken by the brazenness of Ubah, Metuh and Chinelo. Can you believe she was openly boasting that she gave Ubah N200million to rig the election for her brother? Where did she get N200 million? This is the question Nigerians must ask this lady.” He however vowed not to allow “this violent assault to be swept under the carpet. Look people have been shot and may lose their lives because some people’s criminal behave that brings dishonor to our government. It must be punished”
