Don’t be a judge in your own case, Group warns Umeh, APGA

www.odogwublog.com reports that Ndigbo Unity Forum,a socio-political Igbo group has warned the national chairman of the All Progressives, Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief
Victor Umeh to desist from further attack on the Senator-elect for Anambra central senatorial zone, Mrs.Uche Ekwunife as that could be termed contempt of court.

The group through their National President, Chief Augustine Chukwudum urged Umeh to stop further attack on the Senator-elect on the ground that since he had approached the court to challenge the out come of the 28th March National Assembly election in Anambra state, he can no longer be a judge in his own case.

“We have watched with keen interests the cry of foul by both Chief Victor Umeh and APGA and it is high time we urged them to stop crying like babies since they have approached the tribunal and declared their intention to seek redress in the court of competent jurisdiction, he should stop further attack on the revered senator elect and allow the court to determine his fate since he cannot be a judge in his own case”

On the outcome of the last Saturday re-run election for Anaocha I and II state constituencies in the House of Assembly election in which Peoples Democratic Party, PDP won, the group urged the APGA to also seek redress in the court instead of sitting on the fence to raise accusing fingers on others.

He said that since the April 11State House of Assembly election was conducted with APGA winning over 26 seats, nobody has raised such accusation of massive rigging but only for the party to raise alarm of purported massive rigging in the two seats PDP won.

“We have been seeing the Governor and party supporters throwing party and even making celebration over their so called victory at the House of Assembly election of April 11and nobody challenged them even in the face of obvious massive rigging but today they are raising alarm, crying like babies because PDP won just two seats which is the strongholds of the former Governor of the state, Mr. Peter Obi and the senator elect for the central senatorial zone, Mrs.Uche Ekwunife. They should be more matured in their politics as Anambra state is already politically aware” he said. Ends
