Breaking News: Primate Okoh consecrates 3 Bishops in Onitsha, calls for support to new administration ----said Jonathan did his best Nigeria

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Primate Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion , Archbishop Okoh Nicholas has just consecrated 3 new Bishops for the Anglican Communion.

Okoh led over 160 Anglican Bishops to consecrate the 3 new Bishops for the Church of Nigeria at All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha with a charge to preach salvation and liberate the society.

The three new Bishops are Ven. Captain Johnson Ekwe of Niger West Diocese; Ven. Moses Tabwaye of Gwagwalada diocese and Ven. Dr Isaac Oluyamo of Ijesa diocese.

 Okoh while charging the newly ordained to be selfless and Christ like in all their actions and inactions, reminded them that their priority is their congregation and not themselves.

He commended President Goodluck Jonathan for his putting national interests above self during the last Presidential election, adding that Jonathan’s government remained the best Nigeria had as Jonathan did his best for the country.

The Anglican Primate however appealed to Nigerians to support the incoming government of Mohammadu Buhari to serve the interest of the country as the kind of support the administration gets will determine its leadership style with its programmes.

In his homily the Bishop of Akoko Diocese, Ondo state , Right Reverend Gabriel Akinbiyi requested for support of all members of the Church to the newly consecrated Bishops to enable them perform creditably rather pull strings over their efforts to serve their congregation and come out first to shout crucify him.

He encouraged them to look unto God at all times as He would continue to direct them on what to do and when to do that if their trust is on God.

Host Bishop , Right Reverend Own Nwokolo appreciated God for the success of the consecration and appealed for better ecumenism  among Christians rather that the pretences.

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state accompanied by his wife Eberechukwu and Dame Virgy Etiaba former Deputy Governor of Anambra state were among the dignitaries including officers of the Nigerian  Military that stormed the consecration.

Obiano in his speech commended the Primate for bringing the consecration to Anambra state and particularly the Diocese on the Niger, Onitsha even as he traced some of the efforts of his government in making the society a better place.
