The activist who mobilized seasoned election 1,500 monitors and 120 mobilisers to Anambra, to ensure that no PDP member tries any manipulation in any polling centre across the state gave an account of the accident in Awka Medical Centre on Monday.
He was rushed to the medical center when he was still unconscious although  Okpalaukwu his wife was the most affected in the incident.

He narrated that the incident took place while he was speeding from Otuocha heading to Oyi to stop irregularities been perpetrated by some PDP members.

Okpalaukwu, a founding member of the PDP, said that he was alarmed to learn that PDP members were not complying with the national agreement between PDP and APGA to synergize and support each other since 2011.

``We had earlier agreed that APGA will support PDP at the Presidential level; while at national assembly and state assembly levels that PDP will support APGA, which is the ruling party in Anambra, to fill and win them all.

``But to our greatest surprise, the agreement which President Goodluck Jonathan also affirmed, were scuttled by some PDP members in Anambra, hence our intervention to make sure that the agreement was maintained in the state assembly election.

``When we saw how some PDP members in the state sabotaged the agreement during the Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state and awarded themselves winners; we in the national level of PDP said no, that the injustice must be stopped at all cost and that’s why I am in Anambra to stop them and show that what the renegades are not good,’’ he said.

Okpalaukwu, said that then PDP national leadership sent us, myself as leader of the team to come and work for Gov. Willie Obiano and APGA to succeed in the state house of assembly election.

``Me and my team, met with Gov. Obiano through his special assistant on Youths Mobilization, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, who give us all the support to excess.

``And when the accident happened; Obidigwe came to the spot of the incident to sympathize with me and my wife before we were conveyed to the hospital.

``My greatest satisfaction now is that APGA is sweeping all the state assembly seats in Anambra and I know that will be great joy for Mr President in Abuja,’’ he said.
