Before INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega shifted further announcement of the results to 8p.m. yesterday , the electoral body had released results of the elections in Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Kogi, Nasarawa, Enugu states and the FCT.
Reacting to the results, Metuh told newsmen that President Goodluck Jonathan had been able to put up a good performance.
“The eight states announced show that President Goodluck Jonathan is leading; we aren’t interested in number of states won, but the total number of votes cast with two-thirds majority in 25 states and we are sure of getting that.”
The party national publicity scribe added that his party would forward petitions to INEC on states which results it was not comfortable with.
Metuh said: “It is lawful to make pronouncements on results already released and we are satisfied with results already released so far.
“In areas where we have issues, we have directed our state chapters to bring petitions.
“ That’s the procedure to address perceived wrongs or anomalies in an election.
“We shall not partake in violence or any unlawful act. The idea of calling on Nigerians to protest is deceitful.”
