Ubah, Metuh, Nwofor optimistic PDP will win Saturday’s election landslide, lauds volunteer scheme



www.odogwublog.com reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) novel programme tagged PDP Volunteer Scheme which seeks to create a veritable platform
for all job seeking Nigerians, especially the youth, has so far covered 29 out of the 36 states of the federation.
 
Addressing thousands of party faithful who thronged the Nnewi High School venue of the distribution of the assorted campaign materials and training of council and ward volunteers and canvassers Sunday evening at Nnewi, the deputy national Chairman of the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria(TAN), Dr Ifeanyi Ubah said the programme was aimed at reaching and touching the lives of the electorates in a very special way.
 
Dr Ubah urged the citizens to go for their voters' cards so as to vote massively for President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday and ensure he gets a landslide victory in the state, geopolitical zone and nationwide generally.
 
 He confirmed that so far the volunteers scheme has covered 29 states very well reaching all streets, villages and harmless all over the federation spreading the good news of President Jonathan's transformation agenda.
 
According to him, this was reason why TAN, in conjunction with the PDP Campaign Organization and the Women for Change and Development Initiative chose to deploy thousands of branded Volunteer Umbrellas, seats, forms, t-shirts, exercise books, posters, vote right education cards to all wards nationwide.
 
 State officers of the scheme had been trained in Abuja some weeks ago and were mandated to go train others down the line in their various states, councils and wards. They were expected to educate Nigerians on the good works so far done in virtually every hamlet in the country, programmes that benefit every citizen, gender, political class and educational level without any hassles.
 
 The volunteers were to record details of all citizens who turn up with a view to providing them jobs on first come first served basis as soon as possible.
 
The national publicity secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisah Metuh who represented the National chairman, Dr Adamu Muazu described these last minute efforts of the party as extra time, assuring that PDP will win Saturday ' selection landslide.
 
 Chuma Nwofor who is the national Coordinator of the volunteer scheme and TAN coordination in Anambra urged the participants to see it as a patriotic assignment. He charged them to come for more materials when theirs get exhausted.
