Obiano rejects National Assembly election results in Anambra state

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state has rejected the outcome of the National Assembly results in the state. Obiano insisted that the results do not by any stretch of imagination reflect the expressed will of Ndi Anambra and therefore stand out as a monumental electoral injustice on our people.

Obiano who is the BOT , Chairman of APGA spoke through his media and communication team led by Chief Tony Onyima, Commissioner for Information and culture.

Just as the Anambra South Senatorial candidate of APGA , Dr Ernest Ndukwu has urged INEC not to present certificate of return to Senator Andy Uba in the said elections as it will be travesty of justice.
Ndukwu insisted that he won the election on the first ballot at the polls and lamented that PDP massively rigged the election.

Ndukwu further thanked his numerous supporters from across the senatorial zone and urged them to be calm . He also thanked them for coming out enmass to vote unlike what was obtainable in the past.
He lamented that the will of the people were subverted by a few after a properly conducted election at the collation centers.

Obiano said the results are in total violation of the Sovereign will of Ndi Anambra and stand out as a travesty to our people's clamour for social justice and equitable representation in national politics.
'' we appeal to Ndi Anambra, all APGA members and lovers of democracy to remain calm and law abiding , while we try to redress these injustices.
"" we therefore call on the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Anambra state to urgently look into our complaints with a view to ensuring immediate redress that will restore the faith of Ndi Anambra in the democratic process as well as the inevitable triumph of the supremacy of the will of the people in the democratic culture''.
