First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan,
has expressed shock over the demise of Ms Tonye Minimah, cousin to Dame Tumi
Akogun.
Jonathan, in her condolence message
at the residence of the Akoguns in Abuja, said it was difficult to believe that
Minimah was gone, saying her consolation was that the deceased was with the
Lord.
“My sister, it is difficult to
believe that you are gone. Our only consolation is that we know that you are
resting in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“We will surely miss you. May your
soul rest in peace,” Jonathan wrote.
On her part, the wife of the vice
president, Hajia Amina Sambo, expressed sadness over the passing away of
Minimah.
