Jonathan meeting with Kuffour , others ends , as Observers declare election peaceful and transparent



The closed door meeting President Goodluck Jonathan had with some foreign
observers who monitored Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections has ended.
The election observers at the meeting include a former Ghanian President, Mr. John Kuffour, who is the leader of the ECOWAS Elections Observers; former Liberian President, Amos Sawyer, who is leading the African Union Election Observer Mission; former Malawian President and Head of Commonwealth Election Observer Mission, Bakili Muluzi; and the AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Ambassador Aisha Laraba Abdullahi.
The former African leaders adjudged election “peaceful and transparent.”
The meeting which started inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja at about 3.30pm is also being attended by Vice President Namadi Sambo and a few presidential aides.
The meeting is holding at a time the Independent National Electoral Commission is announcing final results of the election.
