Ibezim shouts out to Obiano , asks him to create more jobs

The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, the Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim, says the first year of the Obiano led-administration in the state has witnessed foundational steps that hold the prospects for aggressive multi-sectoral transformation for the state.

Bishop Ibezim stated this in a chat with www.odogwublog.com  Kenechukwu Ofomah in his office in Awka.

Bishop Ibezim, who rated Governor Willie Obiano’s performance in his first year very high, said his achievements in the first year calls for celebration and thanksgiving to God for the gift of another visionary leader.

According to the Bishop, a fundamental factor that has facilitated the Governor’s quality performances so far, is his continuity initiative which ensured that policies, programmes and projects commenced by his predecessor aimed at improving the lot of Ndi Anambra, are followed up to completion and conclusion.

He hailed the open and consultative system of administration that integrates inputs from all stakeholders adopted by the present administration, adding that the Governor has brought his wealth of experience as a former top Bank executive to bear in revolutionizing all sectors of the state economy.
On the partnership between the church and  government in the Health and Education sector, Bishop Ibezim observed that the relationship has yielded so many results that other states in the country  are now adopting the model, describing the Governor’s four pillars of development especially the agriculture aspect, as a sure way to create wealth and reduce the high rate of unemployment in the country.
The Anglican Prelate however, advised the Governor not to be swayed by his achievements so far, but to critically evaluate his performance in the year in review to identify areas that need improved performance in subsequent years, urging him to continue to put the interest of the citizens first.
He reiterated the total support of the church to his administration through prayers and constructive advice and called on all Ndi Anambra to rally round the Governor in his avowed drive to take the state to the next level.
