Hon Ikem Uzoezie on the match to victory as over 1,000 patients receive free treatment in his constituency

www.odogwublog.com reports that over one thousand persons with different ailments have received free Medicare, courtesy of Mr. Ikem Uzoezie,

member representing Aguata 11 constituency in the State House of Assembly.

The beneficiaries cut across all the wards in Igboukwu.

The three-day free Medicare, which is part of the constituency protects of the law maker, is the first of its kind in the area.

        The beneficiaries were treated of various ailments ranging from high blood pressure, long and short sight, malaria, diabetes, hypertension, among others, by a medical team from hospitals within Aguata two constituency and beyond.

        In an interview, the leader of the team, Dr. Maurice Adah, who said that the beneficiaries were also given free drugs, called on the people to always go for medical checks to ascertain their health status.

Some of the beneficiaries, Kenneth Nwaofor, Ebere Nwaokeke, Elizabeth Awuluigwe and Linus Okeke were full of praises to God for using the lawmaker, Mr Uzoezie to meet their health needs.

        In an interview, the benefactor, Mr. Uzoezie, explained that the gesture was his own way of complementing the efforts of the state government in providing adequate health care for the citizens.

        He assured that the programme would be extended to all the wards in his constituency.
