www.odogwublog.com reports that former Governor Peter Obi and wife, Margaret as well as Senatorial candidates of the PDP in Anambra central Hon Uche Ekwunife and that of APGA Chief Victor Umeh alongside thousands of other voters were stranded in Anambra as INEC officials arrived late in many polling units.

At the various polling units to the card readers are not working even in worst scenario the card readers were not butting.
The corps members were also frustrated according to the INEC Presiding Officer Umeaglor Ahmed said the card readers failed and that they have not gotten clearance to embark on Manuel accreditation, blaming the problem on network failure.
APGA candidate for Anambra Central, Chief Victor Umeh, was literally unhappy and disappointed with the development alongside others too, having waited since 8 am.
For the former Governor of Anambra state and President Jonathan's Campaing organization  Deputy DG, Chief Peter Obi, he was shocked that up to noon , INEC officials were no where to be seen , but INEC later arrived by 12:15 pm at the Amatutu Agulu ward 1.
He however expressed optimism that the INEC officials must find a way out of the frustrations of the electorates.
Obi said they were waiting since 8 am to start accreditation, regretting the midday for stoppage of accreditation was due.
He doubts whether the election will still hold today , adding that phone calls he got from other centers showed the card readers were not working.
Obi quickly said he would not blame INEC yet, until the pictures are clearer on why the failure of card readers.
Iyom Uche Ekwunife at Nri ward 1 said the process was cumbersome, adding "" the card readers have failed woefully"".
The INEC officials and the Nri electorates later decided to make do with Manuel accreditation.
On their part, Rev Fr Jude Mbanefo from Igboukwu ward 1called for outright cancellation of the election due to card reader failure, lamenting that corps members brought by INEC do not know how to manipulate the card readers describing the election as a sham.
" this is not election. It is a sham. The INEC officials cannot use the card readers because they were not trained or those trained were changed.
On his part , Chairman Ifite Aguluzigbo ward 2, Mr Gerald Ogwo lamented that none of the card readers were working as officials brought were not those trained for the election coupled with failure of card readers. He called for cancellation of the election or the usage of Manuel procedure as they are already disappointed even though they came late by 11:30 am.
The same complaints came from Alor in Idemmili South, Ekwulobia in Aguata and Orumba North precisely Ndiowu polling units.

At Alor APGA ward 2   APC candidate for Anambra central Senator Chris Ngige was at his polling unit but the card Readers were not working as at 1:30 pm so they resorted to manual method adding that he had not voted by 14:43 pm.
Ngige wondered the kind of election that working tools are not in order, stressing that despite that the electoral Act was against the use of manual accreditation as it will be cancelled, they had no other option but to accredit manually.
