Younger brother to the Rivers state
Governor, Chidi Adi Amaechi today escaped assassination attempt by unknown
assailants.
According information gathered,
Chidi Amaechi was violently attacked by assailants in his accommodation
in the early hours of Wednesday at the University of Igbinedion, Okada,
Edo state.
Chief Press secretary to the
governor David Iyofor made this know in a statement released and signed to
journalists in Port Harcourt.
Governor Amaechi’s younger brother
who is a student of Igbinedion University was allegedly machete and inflicted
with life threatening cuts and injuries.
The statement further said
that at present doctors indicate that his condition remain critical –
none of his properties were stolen from his room by the assailants.
