Agulu Community bows to Umeh as 151 PDP Members/Associates of Senator Annie Okonkwo join APGA in Agulu

www.odogwublog.com reports that the coordinator of Chief Annie Okonkwo campaign organization in Anaocha Council Area, Mr. Ignatius Okeke and 150 others
from the Peoples Democratic Party, yesterday dumped the party to All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA over the Supreme Court delay in giving judgment to the matter brought before it by Chief Chris Uba faction of the party in the state.

Mr. Okeke told APGA National Chairman, Chief Victor Umeh and other party stakeholders in Agulu that the problem in PDP over the years stimulated their decision to join All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Agulu community, the home town of the former Anambra governor, Mr. Peter Obi also used the opportunity to ask the National Chairman of APGA for forgiveness over some suspected youths attack on his campaign vehicle and destruction of his billboards.
The National Chairman of Agulu Peoples Union, Chief Paulinus Anagbaoso, who was accompanied by Agulu palace chiefs, Anaocha Enlightenment Political forum, Agulu women group, Agulu Youth Movement, Agulu Eminent forum and Anambra Youth Empowerment Initiative, Agulu chapter, presented a life cow to Umeh asking for forgiveness and promising to support his senatorial ambition.

Chief Anagbaoso who spoke through the National Financial Secretary of APU, Chief Leo Okeke said Agulu youths have no hand in what happened but suspected hired thugs by some disgruntled politicians from the area.

Another APGA chieftain in the area, Hon. Nduka Alor said that Agulu has no regret supporting APGA, stressing that Agulu Lake resort which is nearing completion came through APGA government.

“If we continue to support this government led by APGA, we will gain more as Gov. Willie Obiano has directed that the Umuowelle bypass and Nneohia bypass circumventing the Afor Agulu be constructed.
“He also directed that Nkitaku via Nneoha to Eti-Nanka road be constructed so that Afor Agulu can be free during ceremonies and festivities and these link roads will be flagged-off soon. All these things were attracted for us by Chief Victor Umeh and we can’t forget all that in a jiffy and that is why we are asking for forgiveness on the action of those who wants to soar our image with our action governor and Chief Umeh” Nduka Alor noted.
Responding, the National Chairman and APGA senatorial candidate in Anambra Central, Chief Victor Umeh thanked them for their gift of cow and for realising that they stepped on his toes in the name of politics.
“I am here like your brother because Agulu and Aguluzigbo are brothers and among all of us in this senatorial race, I am the only person that will give you quality representation and cater for your welfare.
“I have no rift with Peter Obi. He is campaigning for President Jonathan and APGA has since endorsed Jonathan as our sole candidate. So, our interest is to deliver Jonathan and nothing more” he said.
Umeh welcomed the defectors and told them that APGA is large family that can accommodate many people. He enjoined them to go to their wards for registration and membership cards.
