SA to Anambra Governor , Chief Willie Obiano in N20 Million job scam , 100 jobless youths petitioned police

The younger brother of the Governor of Anambra State,( Chief Willie Obiano), Mr Cy Obiano who is the Special Assistant to the governor on Motor Parks, was yesterday arrested by the Nigeria Police at Onitsha following complaints lodged by over 100 persons he defrauded . 

The younger Obiano had told his victims that he was going to have them recruited into the Local Government system, He then proceeded to rake in thousands of Naira from desperate job seekers, some of who  had graduated decades ago without having any job.

As if the Local Government system was not attractive enough, he also lured another set of people into giving him money , promising them that they would be given jobs at the secondary schools. The bubble however burst when these over 150 people waited for weeks without getting employed. Some of them then reported the matter at the Central Police Station, Onitsha.

When Cy Obiano was brought to the Police, he allegedly gave the Police one million Naira, pleading with them to detain his Personal Assistant instead of himself. It was learnt that the Police warned him to return the over twenty Million Naira which he allegedly got from the people  or else he would be detained.

Cy's case would be about the fourth case of fraud perpetrated by Gov Obiano 's aides : an SSA in Lands Ministry had defrauded people ; he was  suspended with pay only to be redeployed to Ministry of Public Utilities. Another SSA in the Ministry of Housing attempted to force some developers to part with some money. Also the current helmsman in the   Waste Management Authority attempted to extort money illegally from persons.
