Obiano's former Aide says APGA is dead in Anambra , warns against voting for Chief Umeh

Reliving the words  of the former Governor of Anambra State , Mr. Peter Obi ,while exiting from  is former party that  ‘ All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has derailed from its original objectives ‘ ,
former Commissioner for Information under Obi and immediate past Special Adviser of political matters to Gov. Willie Obiano, Chief Joe Martins Uzodike  has said that ‘ there is no APGA anymore in the national consciousness of Nigeria and on the ground’.

Uzodike who made the assertion in a live audience participatory radio programme ,Straight Talk on Odenigbo 99.1 Fm, Obosi at the weekend  said ‘any  single vote cast for Chief  Victor Umeh  on  March 28 or indeed anyone contesting for a seat in the National Assembly, under the platform of what used to be APGA is a vote thrown in the bush , because, the political evolution in Nigeria has thrown up two dominant national parties, APC and PDP.

‘One of these two will form the majority in each chamber of the national Assembly led by the Majority Leader and the other will be the minority, led by the minority Leader. The majority will produce the speaker and the formation is complete, so what will anything be looking for in that house under the platform of APGA?’ Uzodike analyzed.
Senator Chris Ngige, seeking to return to the Senate from the same Anambra Central had spoken in a similar vein in his campaign tour of Dunukofia LG, noting that ‘it would amount to indiscretion for any Anambra son to waste his vote for APGA for any National Assembly election at this point because they will be a minority’s minority, even if they manage to win’.
APGA currently has no seat in the National Assembly as none was elected to the only Senator elected on its platform; in 2011 Senator Chris Anyanwu has decamped to PDP.
Chief Uzodike stated that what he called the wasteful campaign of Chief Victor Umeh is being funded by the governments of the seven local governments making up Anambra Central Senatorial District, drawing attention to the billboards of APGA standing in each of the local government secretariats and bearing the pictures of the LG Chairmen, calling of a probe of their finances.
He said that Victor Umeh who was pelted with sachet water and stones along wit the governor of the state in Agulu (Peter Obi’s home) for making scathing remarks about the governor was the single biggest cause of all the misfortunes that has befallen APGA and therefore deserves to be blamed, because he has chased away everybody who is anybody in APGA.

Said he : ‘ He is he National Chairman He is the Deputy Chairman,  He is the Secretary. He is the Publicity Secretary. He is everything, including the Senatorial candidate, meaning that he signed his form, since every candidate’s form must be endorsed by the National Chairman of his party.
Uzodike was a member of APGA until two weeks ago when he was sacked by the Gov. Obiano administration for being loyal to Peter Obi.
