Some members of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) led by Chief Albert Ndefoh have alleged the presence of large quantity of military uniforms and fatigue in the state presently.

This was coming on the heels of mass protests by various groups and organizations, led by the youth in Anambra state under the Anambra Youth coalition over the nagging issue of multiple candidates by some named political parties in the state.
In a press interview, the group, according to Chief Ndefoh fingered some top Senatorial candidates and a former governor he refused to name as brains behind the mass importation of the wares.
In their views, the intention of the sponsors of the items would not be far from using same to intimidate other politicians and contestants in the forthcoming elections; infiltrate the genuine security network of the nation before, during and after the polls on election days with a view to cause disaffection and subvert justice and peaceful coexistence in the state.
Ndefoh disclosed that his members decided to cry out early in the day to avoid any bloodshed in the state over election matters, and for all the security operatives to be on notice, especially when the alleged masterminds of the evil scheme were said to be dropping the name of a top military brass.
The group’s spokesman who was surrounded by other members of IPAC in Anambra state, said they have already sent a petition to the Inspector General of Police, the Chief Of Army Staff as well as the Chief of Defence Staff. He said they also forwarded the petition to the Senate President, Minister of Defence, Director of State Security Service, and Gov Willie Obiano, insisting that a stitch in time saves nine.
They also frowned at what they referred to as the gimmick of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for allowing a number of their members as multiple candidates to run round the state campaigning and creating confusion in the state’s polity.
That it was for that reason that agitated youths converged at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) office at Awka , Anambra State on Tuesday, demanding action by the Commission to stop aspirants not listed as their party’s candidates in the State from continued electoral campaigns. The youths who marched through the streets of Awka venting their anger said they were giving INEC forty – eight hours to enforce the provisions of the electoral laws on party candidacy or forget about holding elections in Anambra State.
The protest letter was submitted to the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Engr Edwin Nwatalari,. The youth Coalition was led by Comrade Ikem Maduagwu, and they accused the commission, the Police and other security agencies for looking the other way while self – declared candidates creat confusion all over the state.
