Ezeemo holds voters’ education in Anambra as PPA Laeder

Leader of Progres­sive People’s Al­liance (PPA) in Anambra State, Mr. Godwin Ezeemo yes­terday advised elector­ate to be politically active and cling to electioneer­ing principles.

Ezeemo, gave the ad­vice in Umuchu, Aguata Local Government Area of the state during one-day voters’ education aware­ness organised by the party for the stakeholders in the zone.

He said that the voters’ education had become im­perative because of the low turnout of voters to collect their Permanent Voter Card (PVC) in the area and the parochial attitude towards politics.

“We have got to change our mindset and redirect it properly, aiming at taking ownership of activities that will lead to good gover­nance; our times and lives of meaningful existence lie within our powers

“We can only exercise and change the ugly face of our present polity by sim­ply voting according to our conscience and not induce­ment of any kind,” he said.

He enjoined the stake­holders to inculcate and imbibe political discipline, uprightness, firmness and best practices into politick­ing to achieve the best in governance.

“Politics is not for the rich to get richer but to give sense of living to the down trodden, voice to the voice­less, strength to the weak, smiles to the wrinkled fac­es and hope of living to the hopeless.

“ We can do it, we can change our gory situation to glorious situation, we can improve our content like our contemporary in Western world, our change lies within and beneath us if we desire a bitter living.

“We can make the move, get your voters cards, be qualified to be part of history,’’ he said.

Ezeemo urged the stake­holders to carry the mes­sage of involvement in ac­tive politics to the people in the hinterlands, the youths, women in cities.
