A Federal High Court, Judge has
ordered the Economic and Finance Crime Commission, EFCC, to release the
international travelling passport of Femi Fani-Kayode,
the former minister of
Aviation and the Chief Media Officer of the Presidential Organisation.
Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia gave
the order Tuesday while delivering a ruling in the application filed by the
former minister, who is standing trial on alleged money laundry offences for
the release of the passport.
Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia ordered
the anti-graft agency, to hand-over the passport to Bello Okandeji, the court’s
Deputy Chief Registrar, within seven days while also ordering that the passport
should be released to the defendant, and that he should write a letter to the
