Two rival thugs clashed yesterday in
Oshodi axis of Lagos state, leaving no fewer than two yet-to-be identified persons
dead.

reports that no fewer than 12 vehicles were burnt, 15 buses vandalized and property
worth millions were destroyed during the clash which started at about 10:00 pm
on Tuesday.
The two factions were members of the
National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW and were affiliated to the two
major political parties in the state. The crisis was based on the struggle on
who takes charge to control the parks in the axis ahead of the general
elections next month.
The crisis lasted for several hours
before the combined team of Rapid Response Squad, RRS and other security
officials in the state quelled it, started after the police attached to the
Mosafejo Police Station arrested one person smoking Indian helm.
The crisis started last Thursday but
was quelled by the police officers attached to the Mosafejo Police Station,
Oshodi, after two buses were set ablaze by the hoodlums.
