Boko Haram members on Monday
kidnapped 20 persons in Akada – Banga, Bama local
government area of Borno state, local vigilante official said.
Men Women and Children traveling to
a nearby village close to Nigeria / Chad border area were part of people
abducted, a says a t Security source said.
” we received information
of the abduction on Tuesday, we are still trying to track the terrorists;
” the security source who prefered anonymity said.
Mala Bukar, a member of the
local vigilante group in Borno state said the Kidnapped persons were travelling
in a truck from Walasa village in Bama local government area enroute Akada
Banga for a weekly market day before they were intercepted by suspected Boko
Haram Terrorists
” Our members had arrived
Akada- Banga village shortly after the Boko Haram group kidnapped at
least 20 persons including women and Children said nearby villagers had
immediately fled for fear of being killed or kidnapped ” Kolomi said.
Also, Police in Maiduguri said it
has discovered 147 Bombs hidden in a village by suspected Boko
Haram terrorists
” 147 unexploded Cluster
ordinances (UXOS) were recovered at about 2 kilometers
away from Auno village near Jakana town of Konduga, by a combined
team of Bomb Disposal Unit, Policemen and troops attached to
Jakanana ; the explosives were recovered and destroyed.
“The bomb disposal team has also
recovered unexploded ordinance suspected to have launched during
one of the Boko Haram attack on Maiduguri in a house in the state capital ”
Commissioner of Police in Charge of Borno State, Clement Adoda said.
