Anambra Youth Council leaders crash in Accident at Okija

Tragedy was averted yesterday as the Anambra state official bus of the National Youth Council with Registration number NYCN 001 Anambra crashed in Okija , Ihiala council area on their way back from Owerre Airport reports www.odogwublog.com .

The occupants survived the crash with vehicle damaging seriously but the state Chairman of the council, Comrade Maduka Frank whose side was crushed was not in the car. The bus collided with a GUO bus at Okija in Ihiala local government area.

The vehicle went to Owerre to drop the council chairman Onugha for a meeting in Abuja and had the crash on their way back to Awka. The car was driven by the Assistant Secretary of the Youth council , Comrade Chinedu Onuegbu.

This has disorganized the Youth council preparing for its inaugural youth leaders camp to be held at the Federal Youth Development Centre, Mgbakwu Awka North local government area.

Comrade Maduka it would be recalled had an accident some weeks after he was elected in 2012 with his Skoda Fabia.

The Nissan Bus official vehicle was given to the Youth Council on 17^th December, 2013 by former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra state. 

When contacted , Comrade Maduka confirmed the story but said he is in Abuja about boarding a flight back to know the extent of the damage and thanked God no life was lost as it would have stopped their already planned youth council camp for reformation and instilling of leadership qualities for organized youths like Boys Brigade and Scouts etc not politically motivated formed youths Associations.
