War ongoing in Biu , Borno state now , Army

Boko Haram is now in a fierce battle with the Nigerian Army in Biu , Southern, Borno state, reports reaching www.odogwublog.com .

Already, two fighter jets are currently hovering on air. The insurgents are trying to take over the Army Barracks.

Biu is one of the largest towns in Borno state with a heavy military presence owing to a barrack situated in the town.

Youths in the town has also mobilized themselves ready to engage the insurgents in the event they overpower the soldiers.

 “Our boys have already taken strategic position waiting for them, at the moment, the soldiers are battling them. All we can hear now are gunshots from the direction of the barracks,” Mr. Ali said.
The group has seized many towns in Borno and Adamawa States. The latest seizure was Baga, overrun by the militants more than a week ago.
