Violent-Free 2015 Poll: Ezeife, Obiano Set For Inter-Faith Prayer Rally In Oba

The President Goodluck Success Movement in collaboration with Ogirisi-Igbo foundation will today Friday 30^th January, 2015 hold an inter –faith prayer rally at Rojenny Tourist / Resort Centre, Oba, Anambra state, which will have in attendance former governor Chukwuemeka Ezeife (Okwadike) as Chairman while Governor Willie Obiano will be special guest of honour.   

Addressing newsmen on the preparedness of the unique prayer rally yesterday, the chairman of Ogirisi-Igbo foundation, Dr. Linus Uche, said that prayer warriors that include, Arch. Bishop Prof. I.B. Kawas, Director Religious and Traditional Affairs and Pastor Isaiah Ukachukwu would prove their mettle at the event.

“The Igbo Spiritual leader and Ogirisi-Igbo, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka will be the grand patron,” he stated.

The guest speaker, Ambassador Raphael Horsfall, who is the Senior Special Adviser to His Excellency, Professor Armed Rufai Alkali Senior Special Assistance to President Goodluck Jonathan will arrive with their entourage.

Pastor Uche posited that the prayer session which commences by noon, is to invoke the prince of peace and Almighty God to intervene in the much talked about 2015 general elections so that frayed nerves would be calmed.

According to Dr. Uche, “we will also pray for the restoration of the Igbo language so that it will not go into extinction”.

The event, titled “Come let us seek the face of God for the progress of our nation” will also have in attendance Governor T.A. Orji of Abia state.
