Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance
(APGA) yesterday evening said his campaign organization has lost over N70
Million from Bill Boards destroyed by his political opponents although he was
short of mentioning name but his body language points Hon Uche Ekwunife of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
www.odogwublog.com
reports that Umeh who spoke during a political programme at Blaze Fm Oraifite
said opposition destroyed 35 of his bill boards across the central senatorial
zone.
He insisted that his bill boards and campaign strategies
were attacked because of his growing popularity in the grass root against odds
and pointed out that even if the opposition in Anambra central are five that
none of them that are in the race is his match in all ramifications hence they
were bent on frustrating his plans.
Umeh who is also the National Chairman of APGA, reminded the
opposition tht he has the capacity to retaliate and if he gives order, in three
minutes , all the bill boards of opposition would be grounded across the state
but he decided to ignore them and face his campaign as a Christian.
On Dr Chris Ngige currently representing the central in the
senate, Umeh described Ngige as an expired politician in Anambra central as he
is living in the past. He said Ngige was no threat to his ambition as he knows
all his tricks and rigging schemes.
He insisted Ngige won’t succeed in rigging him out or
manipulating anything as he is already on top of the game, concluding that
Ngige is’’ buying time to vacate the senate’’. He wondered the kind of human
being Ngige is as he stayed 3 years and 6 months in office without doing any
constituency project only for him to come out because of election and announced
a greek gift scholarship to 6 , 000 people.
The APGA Boss appealed to the voting members of Anambra
central to vote him and disregard All Progressives Congress (APC) of Ngige and
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with multiple candidates and vote for him for his political
consistency and sagacity in se fighting in service to Ndigbo.
He reminded that he wont be spending his time and money
running around to win a senatorial election if pecuniary interest was his
priority in contesting the election but his love to fight a just battle to
liberate the Igbo man already subjected since after the Biafran war.

SUBJECT: CHIEF VICTOR UMEH’S EXPIRED TENURE AFTER TEN YEARS (10 YEARS) AS APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN/HIS BEING A CANDIDATE FOR ELECTIVE OFFICE AND NATIONAL CHAIRMAN AT THE SAME TIME: ALL IN BREACH OF APGA CONSTITUTION, IT IS A THREAT TO OUR DEMOCRACY AND RULE OF LAW.
ReplyDeleteProf Jega.
CHAIRMAN OF INEC,
I have a cause to write to Electoral commission about the serious fundamental flaws in the management of our party All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
The issues raise were in the critical areas of accountability, transparency, internal party democracy and total disregard and arrogant breaches of APGA constitution.
DUE TO COMPLICIT SILENCE BY THE COMMISSION, CHIEF VICTOR UMEH WAS EMBOLDENED TO AMMEND APGA CONSTITUTION ON 17TH DECEMBER 2014 UNDER THE COVER OF CONSTITUTION REVIEW TO ELONGATE HIS TENURE THAT EXPIRED SITEEN DAYS (16DAYS) EALIER.
FOR THE COMMISSION TO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THE CONVENTION WHERE A PARTY CONSTITUTION WAS ADJUSTED TO GIVE LIFE TO AN EXPIRED TENURE IS OBVIOUSLY A CLEAR CASE OF COMLICITY.
Illegal alteration of constitution to elongate tenure is power play reserved for dictatorial despots. It has no place in a modern democracy. Therefore the commission should not accommodate such arrogant, illegal, fraudulent and undemocratic display of power.
IT IS A THREAT TO OUR DEMOCRACY AND RULE OF LAW.
Mr. Chairman, the records of what I am about to state in your legal and political party monitoring departments.
CHIEF VICTOR UMEH’S TENURE AS NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF APGA
1. 2004-2006 (2 yrs as acting national chairman)
2. 2nd Dec 2006- 1st Dec 2010 (4 years as substantive national chairman, convention approval first four year (4yrs) tenure at Nike Lake Resort Enugu on 2nd December 2006).
NOTE: The tenure ended on 1st December 2010 and was renewed by APGA NEC for a second for year (4yrs) tenure at NICON LUXURY HOTEL, ABUJA on 1st December 2010. The Awka convention of 10th February 2011 merely ratified the already running second tenure of 1st December 2010
3. 1st Dec 2010 – 1st Dec 2014 (second tenure of 4 yrs as substantive APGA chairman at NICON LUXURY on 1st Dec 2010 was renewed by NEC before the ratification of 10th February 2011, with means the second tenure started running from 1st December 2010)
Therefore the end of second tenure will end on 1st December 2014.
Chief Victor Umeh served as APGA national chairman for ten years (10yrs). To have proceeded sixteen days (16 days) later to amend the party constitution elongating his tenure is illegal, fraudulent and undemocratic. He can not amend the party constitution for his personal benefit.
Article 18 (page 41 & 42) of the party constitution was very clear and specific on tenure and officers seeking elective office before Chief Victor Umeh amended the party constitution.
Under Chief Victor Umeh’s leadership APGA has been so compromised that it has lost its identity. The party has been turned into private family ATM and personal mortgage bank for personal aggrandizements. No strategic planning expect to harvest funds from rejected candidates from other parties during election period. These election temporary members who usually return back to their various parties after election, gives the party false impression of party membership. APGA manifesto is now cash and carry. The ten years (10yrs) administration of Chief Victor Umeh failed to harness the enormous and wide spread goodwill enjoyed by APGA due to lack of strategic planning and cash-and-carry manifesto of the current administration.
Our democracy can grow only when the commission will effectively regulate the activities of such vital primary democratic institutions, such as political parties.
WE ARE RESPECTFULLY EXPECTING A SPEEDY RESOLUTION OF THESE ANTI DEMOCRATIC AND ILLEGAL TAMPERING WITH THE PARTY CONSTITUTION AND ELONGATION OF TENURE AFTER TEN YEARS AS APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN.
YOURS
STANLEY CHIRA
