Governor Idris Wada of Kogi, said on Wednesday that the state government will prosecute officials involved in the inflation of WAEC examination fees for final year secondary school students in the state.

projects in Lokoja, said that the officials had inflated the money paid by the
state government to the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), from N230
million to N500 million.

be duly punished as soon as investigation was concluded.

would reimburse parents who paid for their wards after the issue was
conclusively addressed.
The governor, who marked three years in
office, said all ongoing roads, housing and health projects across the state
would be completed on time.

enhance the welfare of the people.
Earlier, the governor in a state-wide
broadcast said his administration had laid solid foundation for the growth and
development of the state
According to him, large chunk of the state
resources have been committed to providing vital infrastructure which have
impacted positively on the lives of the people.

and understanding, urging them to continue to live in peace and shun violence
